IDEA Bassett public school campus in Duval County, Florida, will offer two free meals a day to any child aged 18 or younger from June 12 to July 21, regardless of which school they attend. The initiative aims to provide a safe space for children who may not have access to food while their parents are at work. The school expects to feed at least 500 children and parents or guardians are also permitted to eat the meals with a student they bring, but will be required to pay $5 cash for each meal.
