Remembering George Winston: Pianist and 'Song Player' Passes Away at 73.

Grammy-winning pianist George Winston has died at the age of 73 after a 10-year battle with cancer. Throughout his cancer treatments, Winston continued to write and record new music and perform for live audiences while raising funds for Feeding America to help fight the national hunger crisis. He released more than a dozen solo piano albums and won a Grammy for best New Age recording in 1995. Winston drew upon influences ranging from Fats Waller to the Doors and blended jazz, classical, folk, and other stylings.
