A 29-year-old police officer who was stabbed during an attack on a far-right demonstration in Mannheim, Germany, has died. The 25-year-old attacker injured six people and was shot and wounded by police. The officer underwent emergency surgery and was placed in an induced coma but succumbed to his injuries.
Thousands of far-right protesters, mainly from the Vox party, demonstrated in Madrid against Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez's support for amnesty for Catalan separatists.
