Belarus Enlists Wagner Mercenaries for Defense Force Training

Belarus claims that Wagner mercenaries are assisting in training its defence forces, with more mercenaries reportedly arriving in the country as part of a deal brokered by President Lukashenko. State-controlled TV channel Voen TV showed footage of Wagner fighters wearing masks while instructing Belarusian soldiers in shooting and medical assistance. The number of Russian mercenaries that arrived in Belarus has not been disclosed, but there are reports of over 100 vehicles heading towards the camp where Wagner is located. In Russia, Wagner's main base in the Krasnodar region is closing down, and the group is relocating to new deployment sites after striking a deal to end their rebellion in exchange for amnesty and permission to move to Belarus.

Ukraine's counteroffensive halts Russian forces and creates new front line.

Ukraine's Defence Forces have liberated territories near Krasnohorivka in Donetsk Oblast which had been occupied since 2014. The Ukrainian military had captured several Russian positions near Krasnohorivka about a week ago. The liberation of the territories near Krasnohorivka is an achievement of Mykolaiv paratroopers from the 79th Air Assault Brigade.

Bakhmut's battle intensifies as ammunition shortage ends.

President Zelenskyy confirms that the situation in Bakhmut is complicated, but the Russians do not control the city. The decision about the withdrawal of defence forces can only be taken if there's a threat of bigger losses. The faster the ammunition from international partners arrives in Ukraine, the faster the defence forces will change the situation not only in Bakhmut but along the whole frontline.
