Virginia Tech Firm Fined for Discriminatory 'Whites Only' Job Ad
Arthur Grand Technologies Inc., a Virginia-based IT services firm, will pay a $7,500 civil penalty and undergo compliance measures after the DOJ found a discriminatory job posting specifying "Whites only" and "US Born Citizens." The company claims the post was unauthorized and made by a disgruntled employee, who has since been terminated. The DOJ and Labor Department have reached agreements with the company to ensure compliance with federal civil rights laws.
