"Chinese Lab Develops 100% Lethal Mutant COVID-19 Strain Targeting Brain: Report"

Chinese scientists have created a mutant COVID-19 strain, GX_P2V, with a 100% mortality rate in "humanized" mice, causing rapid and severe symptoms leading to death within eight days. The virus, a mutated version of a coronavirus found in Malaysian pangolins in 2017, infected multiple organs including the brain, raising concerns about spillover risk into humans. Critics have condemned the study as scientifically pointless and potentially dangerous, emphasizing the lack of biosafety information and the need to halt such research. The study is not linked to the Wuhan lab and does not clarify the virus's impact on humans, leaving the origin of COVID-19 still uncertain.

"Uncovering a Bio-Meth Lab: Illegal Chinese COVID Lab Discovered in Reedley, CA"

A Chinese company, Universal Meditech, Inc. (UMI), and its successor, Prestige Biotech, have been operating an unlicensed and unregulated laboratory in Reedley, CA, where investigators discovered the production of COVID-19 and pregnancy tests, as well as blood, tissue, and other bodily fluid samples. Thousands of vials containing unlabeled fluids and suspected biological material were also found. The lab was found to be in possession of infectious agents, including chlamydia, E. Coli, streptococcus pneumonia, hepatitis B and C, herpes 1 and 5, rubella, and samples of malaria. The investigation is ongoing, and questions remain about the authorization and purpose of the lab, as well as potential involvement of the California Department of Public Health and the Newsom administration.

Senate GOP report suggests Chinese lab faced biosafety issues leading to COVID emergence.

A report by Senate Republicans suggests that a Chinese laboratory conducting advanced coronavirus research faced a series of biosafety problems in November 2019 that coincided with the emergence of the Covid pandemic. The report concludes that the pandemic more likely began from a lab accident than naturally, via an animal infecting humans.
