Teen Receives Life Sentence for Murdering Spanish Teacher
Willard Miller, one of two Iowa teenagers who pleaded guilty to beating their high school Spanish teacher to death with a baseball bat, has been sentenced to life with the possibility of parole after 35 years in prison. Miller, who is now 17, apologized to the victim's family and the community before the sentencing. The attack on Nohema Graber occurred in 2021, and prosecutors recommended a term of between 30 years and life in prison for Miller. The other teenager involved, Jeremy Goodale, is yet to be sentenced.
