Chicago woman charged with felony battery in series of bat attacks on Northwest Side

A 26-year-old woman, Denise Solorzano, was charged with four counts of aggravated battery after assaulting at least four people, including a mother with a baseball bat in Chicago's Albany Park neighborhood. Three other similar attacks on Tuesday were tied to Solorzano. She was charged with four counts of felony aggravated battery/use of a deadly weapon, one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and one count of aggravated assault while operating a motor vehicle. Solorzano was scheduled to appear at a bail hearing on Thursday.
