Russian cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko has set a new record for the most time spent in space, surpassing the previous record of 878 days, 11 hours, 29 minutes, and 48 seconds. Kononenko, who has made five journeys to the International Space Station, expressed his childhood dream come true as a cosmonaut. His current trip began in 2023, and he is expected to become the first person to accumulate 1,000 days in space by the end of this expedition, highlighting the ongoing cooperation between the United States and Russia in space exploration.
