Zelenskiy calls on EU to lift "unacceptable" farm goods restrictions in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has urged the European Union (EU) to lift the "unacceptable and clearly non-European" ban on Ukrainian grain imports to five central European countries by September 15. The EU had allowed Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia to ban domestic sales of Ukrainian agricultural products, citing harm to their farming sectors. Zelenskiy emphasized that any extension of the restrictions beyond the deadline would be unacceptable and called on the EU to fulfill its obligations. Poland has already stated that it will not lift the ban on September 15, even if the EU does not agree on its extension.
