"Axiom Space Prepares for Historic European Mission to International Space Station"

Axiom Space is set to launch its all-European crew, including Commander Michael López-Alegría, Pilot Walter Villadei, and Mission Specialist Alper Gezeravcı, to the International Space Station on January 17. The crew will conduct over 30 scientific experiments and 50 outreach events during their 14-day mission, with a focus on life science investigations. The mission marks the first Turkish astronaut's journey to space and includes ESA astronaut Marcus Wandt, who will conduct experiments on stem cells. The crew is also bringing small items of significance to themselves and their countries.
