"CDC Implements Pathogen Testing for Boston Travelers"

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is expanding its infectious disease surveillance program to include testing for more than 30 pathogens, including flu, RSV, and other respiratory viruses, at Boston's Logan Airport and three other airports. The program, which has been successful in detecting COVID-19 variants before they were reported nationwide, will also look for antibiotic-resistant bacteria. The testing is voluntary and anonymous, with thousands of travelers participating each week. The program has already tested over 370,000 travelers and collected samples from more than 135 countries.
