Japanese Moon Lander Prepares for January SpaceX Launch in Florida

Japanese space exploration company ispace is preparing for its second lunar landing attempt with the "Resilience" Mission 2 lander, which has arrived in Florida for a planned January 2025 launch on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. This mission follows a failed attempt in April 2023 and features an upgraded lander based on the Hakuto-R platform. The mission will carry commercial and scientific payloads and contribute to NASA's Artemis program. ispace is also developing a larger lander, APEX 1.0, for a 2026 launch.
