Astronaut Captures Stunning Images of Iran from Space, Fulfilling a Personal Connection

NASA astronaut Jasmin Moghbeli, whose family is from Iran, captured photos of the country from the International Space Station, calling it the closest she will ever get to where her parents were born and raised. Moghbeli's parents left Iran during the Iranian Revolution in 1979 and immigrated to the United States. She recently shared the photos with her parents, who now reside in Texas. Moghbeli has been on a three-month mission with SpaceX Crew-7 and has been involved in various spacewalks and experiments during her time on the ISS.
