New NASA Goddard Director Swears in on Carl Sagan Book Instead of Bible

Dr. Makenzie Lystrup has been sworn in as the new director of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland, the largest employer of space exploration techies and scientists in the US. She previously worked as vice president and GM of Ball Aerospace's Civil Space Strategic Business Unit, where she was responsible for the company's portfolio of civil space systems. Lystrup takes over from Dave Mitchell, the space center's acting director since January this year. She swore in using Carl Sagan's Pale Blue Dot.
