The Euclid spacecraft, which aims to shed light on the mystery of dark matter and dark energy, is currently undergoing simulations to prepare for launch and commissioning. The simulations have included worst-case scenarios, such as thruster failures and a fake bomb threat, to test the teams' ability to make quick and decisive decisions. Engineers will need to protect the sensitive telescope during and after launch and calibrate the spacecraft with extreme precision to ensure it can clearly see. Euclid will launch on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and join ESA's Gaia telescope and the NASA/ESA James Webb Space Telescope at Lagrange point 2.
