NASA's Artemis 1 Orion spacecraft, which completed a successful moon voyage in 2022, is now undergoing eight months of testing in Ohio to prepare for future lunar missions. The spacecraft, now known as the Orion Environmental Test Article, will be subjected to extreme conditions to ensure it can protect the crew in case of an emergency during launch. The Artemis program aims to bring astronauts to the lunar surface, with Artemis 2 scheduled for no earlier than September 2025 and Artemis 3 targeting a lunar landing no earlier than 2026 using SpaceX's Starship.
