China's Ambitious Roadmap for Solar System Resource Exploration

China has unveiled a road map to explore and exploit space resources in the solar system by 2100. The plan aims to economically mine and use water ice and mineral resources beyond Earth, with the goal of boosting the global space economy and propelling China's technological advancements. The proposed system involves utilizing gravitationally-balanced regions between celestial bodies as nodes for expansion. China plans to build facilities on the moon, near-Earth asteroids, Mars, main-belt asteroids, and the moons of Jupiter, creating a resupply system across the solar system. The plan also includes the development of technologies related to mining, processing, and low-cost resource return.
