Artemis Accords Forge Global Space Cooperation

The Artemis Accords, an international collaborative effort led by NASA and the U.S. State Department, aim to reshape the narrative of space exploration from competition to cooperation. With 29 signatory nations, the Accords establish guidelines for space exploration, promote peaceful and responsible exploration, foster sustainable use of space resources, champion transparency and information sharing, enhance interoperability among cooperating nations, affirm responsible space resource utilization, promote private sector participation, and advance inclusivity and global engagement. By embracing cooperation, transparency, and responsibility, the Accords lay the foundation for a new era of space exploration where nations work together as partners.
