Queen guitarist and astrophysicist Brian May played a crucial role in NASA's OSIRIS-REx mission, which successfully collected the first-ever asteroid sample from Bennu and returned it to Earth. May created stereoscopic images from the spacecraft's data to help locate a safe landing site for sample collection. Although unable to be present for the momentous occasion due to rehearsals for a Queen tour, May expressed immense pride and congratulated the team on their hard work. The spacecraft will now continue its journey to study another asteroid named Apophis.
