"Brian May's Book Uncovers Queen Legend's Role in NASA's Asteroid-Sampling Mission"

Queen guitarist Brian May collaborated with NASA's OSIRIS-REx mission to help find a suitable landing site on the asteroid Bennu. May, who holds a PhD in astronomy, used his expertise in stereoscopic imaging to process images captured by the spacecraft and create 3D views of the asteroid's surface. This collaboration was detailed in a new book titled "Bennu: 3-D Anatomy of an Asteroid." The OSIRIS-REx mission successfully collected a sample from Bennu in October 2020 and is set to return to Earth in September 2023.
