Massive 122-Million-Year-Old Dinosaur Unearthed, One of the Largest Ever

Researchers have identified a new species of dinosaur named Garumbatitan morellensis, which lived 122 million years ago. The remains of this "giant" dinosaur were discovered in Morella, Spain, and belong to the sauropod group known for their colossal size. The dinosaur could have reached over 80 feet in length and stood over 30 feet tall. It is one of the most primitive members of the Somphospondyli group of sauropods. The discovery provides important insights into the evolutionary history of sauropods in Europe during the Cretaceous period.
