"Your Guide to the Perseid Meteor Shower 2023"

The Perseid meteor shower, one of the largest meteor showers of the year, will peak from August 12 to 13, with an expected rate of 50 to 75 shower members per hour. The meteors, created by debris from the comet 109P/Swift-Tuttle, can be seen radiating from the constellation Perseus but are visible anywhere in the sky at a speed of 37 miles per second. The shower is also known for its fireballs, and the comet itself won't be visible until 2125.
