Unexplained radio signals detected from star-sized black hole

Astronomers have observed periodic changes in a jet of highly magnetic plasma emitted by a small black hole known as GRS 1915+105. These changes, detected by China's FAST telescope, suggest that the black hole's rotation may not be aligned with its accretion disk, causing the jet to wobble. The observed signal, with a frequency of about 5 Hertz, has never been seen before in radio waves from a black hole. This discovery could provide insights into the feeding habits of smaller black holes and the physics of black hole systems. The exact cause of these oscillations remains unknown, but further observations may help unravel the mystery.
