Hamber, a physics and astronomy professor at the University of California, Irvine, captures stunning images of nebulas, galaxies, and clusters in Southern California's Anza-Borrego Desert State Park using four telescopes. He explains that the area's minimal light pollution makes faint objects more visible, and he uses computerized mounts and astro cameras to photograph the cosmos.
