A study from Boston University and the University of Pennsylvania reveals that a significant portion of excess deaths attributed to natural causes during the COVID-19 pandemic in the US were actually linked to the virus. The research, published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, found that non-COVID-19 excess deaths peaked around the same time as COVID-19 deaths, indicating potential underreporting.
