Amazon Recalls Supplement Over Hidden Drug Contamination

A hyaluronic acid supplement sold on Amazon and in retail stores is being recalled by manufacturer MXBBB after FDA testing revealed contamination with diclofenac and omeprazole, two drugs not listed on the product label. The FDA had previously warned against purchasing Umary products due to potentially dangerous hidden ingredients. Diclofenac, an NSAID, can increase cardiovascular and gastrointestinal risks, while omeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, can mask stomach issues and interact adversely with other medications. Consumers are advised to report any adverse reactions.
