Massive Ground Beef Recall Issued Due to E. Coli Outbreak

Approximately 58,281 pounds of raw ground beef from American Foods Group, LLC, as Green Bay Dressed Beef, LLC, have been recalled due to potential E. coli contamination. The recall was initiated after a sample batch tested positive for E. coli O103. The affected ground beef products were shipped to Georgia, Michigan, and Ohio. No foodborne illnesses have been reported so far, but consumers are advised to discard or return the products. The U.S. beef industry's frequent bacterial outbreaks raise concerns about food safety regulations.
