"Chicago Mayor Leads Effort to Ban Natural Gas in New Buildings"

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and city council members are introducing an ordinance to require new buildings and homes to use electric over natural gas in an effort to reduce indoor emissions and promote a cleaner environment. The Clean and Affordable Building's Ordinance is the first step in making changes for all of Chicago, but concerns about the financial impact and electric load capacity have been raised by some aldermen and unions.
