Jose Ramirez hit a two-out, two-run double in the ninth inning to give the Cleveland Guardians a 4-3 walk-off win over the St. Louis Cardinals. The Guardians had trailed 3-2 entering the ninth inning, but walks by Myles Straw and Steven Kwan set the stage for Ramirez's heroics. Xzavion Curry pitched three scoreless innings for his first big-league win. The Guardians won the series 2-1 and will face the Baltimore Orioles next.

Xzavion Curry's efforts in holding the Cardinals to no runs in the last three innings should not be forgotten. Hunter Gaddis had a rough fifth inning, allowing three solo home runs. Cleveland Guardians' Triston McKenzie has been knocked out of the rotation with a strained terres major muscle in his right shoulder, and Hunter Gaddis will take his spot in the rotation on Friday against the Mariners. Xzavion Curry will take Gaddis' spot in the bullpen. McKenzie may not be able to join the rotation for at least eight weeks.
