Surge in COVID-19 Infections Raises Concerns for Health Officials
Los Angeles County health officials are investigating a surge in COVID-19 workplace outbreaks over the past month, as more employees return to in-person work. In the last 30 days, there have been three times as many workplace outbreaks compared to the previous month, with 153 clusters reported. While the confirmed cases of viral transmission at work are lower than last year, they still disrupt daily life. Employers are required to provide masks and tests for free, as well as notify exposed employees.
