China has developed a wingship that can travel at up to 240km per hour and carry 12 passengers. The ground-effect vehicle has passed more than 30 sea trials and can tackle rough conditions in the South China Sea. It could be used for sea rescues, search missions, and to airdrop supplies on islands and beaches.
