The web is undergoing a fundamental transformation from a human-centric platform to an AI-native infrastructure, where fast, efficient, and trustworthy machine-readable data will dominate, leading to a layered web with parallel human and machine interfaces, and companies that adapt early will lead the future.
Google Drive is adding search filters that allow users to filter by file type, owner, and last modified date anywhere in the web app. This feature was previously only available in Google Drive search, but it will now be available throughout Drive. The goal of this feature is to help users find relevant files faster in any view. The search filters are rolling out starting today and will be available to all Google Workspace customers, as well as legacy G Suite Basic and Business customers, and users with personal Google Accounts.
