AMD and board partners have released a new BIOS to restrict voltage oversupply to the Ryzen 7000X3D CPUs, which were reportedly failing due to overvolting. The affected part of the CPU is related to the CPU voltage, and all affected contact pins are part of the VDDCR voltage rail that delivers power to the core. Motherboard makers have responded quickly by removing affected BIOSes or releasing new ones. ASUS has offered a replacement of CPU and motherboard to affected users. AMD is investigating the issue.
