Motley Crue launched their Vegas residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM, their first show since lead singer Vince Neil suffered a stroke last Christmas. The residency continues with nine more shows scheduled through early October.
British singer Bree Runway expressed her excitement on Twitter after Christina Aguilera incorporated her song "That Girl" into a performance in Las Vegas. Aguilera, who recently started a new residency at the Venetian's Voltaire Belle de Nuit, invited Runway to come to Vegas in response. Runway, now an independent artist after leaving EMI Records, hinted at new music for 2024 and has previously opened for Lizzo on tour. Aguilera's set also marked the live debut of her song "Glam" from the album Bionic.
During her New Year's Eve show in Las Vegas, singer Kelly Clarkson played a special role in the marriage of a gay couple, Marcelo and Ryan, who had been together for 14 years. The impromptu wedding took place during Clarkson's extended residency at Planet Hollywood, where she performed songs from her recent album "Chemistry" and covers of other artists' hits. The audience witnessed the couple's vows and cheered as they took a selfie with Clarkson, who wished them luck. Clarkson's residency celebrates her latest album and includes performances during Super Bowl weekend in February.
