
USS Ronald Reagan Concludes Potentially Last Patrol from Japan Ahead of Carrier Swap
The USS Ronald Reagan has returned to Yokosuka Naval Base in Japan, concluding what may be its final deployment from the country. The aircraft carrier was greeted by families as it arrived at its homeport. The Ronald Reagan completed a successful 2023 deployment, strengthening relationships and interoperability with partners and allies in the Indo-Pacific region. The carrier is expected to undergo scheduled maintenance at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Washington before being replaced by the USS George Washington as the centerpiece of the 7th Fleet's carrier strike group. The exact date of the carrier swap has not been disclosed.
