Nick Begich Wins Alaska House Seat in Ranked Choice Election
The Alaska Division of Elections will conduct a ranked choice voting tabulation at 5 p.m. today to determine winners in races where no candidate secured a majority in the first round. The process, which will be livestreamed, involves redistributing second-choice votes from eliminated candidates until a candidate achieves a majority. Key races include the U.S. House and eight legislative contests. Results will remain unofficial until certified by November 30.
