Researchers at the University of Southern Denmark have developed drones that can recharge directly from power lines using a gripper system and inductive charger. The drones, initially designed for inspecting power lines, demonstrated the ability to sustain operation throughout multiple inspection and charging cycles in a real outdoor environment.
