Canonical has confirmed that Ubuntu 26.04 LTS, scheduled for release in April, will feature Linux kernel 6.20, which may be rebranded as Linux 7.0 depending on Linus Torvalds' versioning decisions, continuing their strategy of shipping Ubuntu with the latest upstream kernels.
