Surprise Launch: Bethesda Drops New Elder Scrolls Mobile Game in Early Access

Bethesda has released a surprise new mobile game called The Elder Scrolls: Castles, which bears a striking resemblance to Fallout Shelter. In Castles, players oversee their own castle and dynasty, training subjects, naming heirs, and completing quests. Each day in real life corresponds to a year in the game. The launch of Castles follows Bethesda's success with Fallout Shelter and their previous hints at expanding their mobile game offerings. It may be a while before we see another mainline Elder Scrolls game, as The Elder Scrolls 6 is not expected until at least 2026.
