Michael Fassbender is in talks to star in "The Department," an espionage thriller series directed by George Clooney, based on the hit French spy show "The Bureau." The series, set to start shooting in London this spring, has been given a straight-to-series order by Showtime and is produced by Clooney and Grant Heslov’s Smokehouse Pictures, MTV Entertainment Studios, and 101 Studios. Fassbender's potential involvement comes after his recent role as a professional assassin in David Fincher’s “The Killer.”
