The team's negotiations for an extension agreement with the City of Oakland fell through, leading to the temporary move. The A's will be hosted by the Sacramento River Cats, the San Francisco Giants Triple-A affiliate, and have the option for a fourth season. The move is part of the team's plan to complete their new ballpark in Las Vegas by 2028.
