Alef Aeronautics, a California-based sustainable mobility company, has received a Special Airworthiness Certification from the FAA for its flying car, the Model-A. The lightweight vehicle is capable of driving on roads and flying, with a range of 200 miles on the ground and 110 miles in the air. The certification allows Alef to continue research and development testing, ensuring regulatory compliance, and conducting market survey efforts. Pre-orders for the two-seater vehicle are available, with a starting price of approximately $300,000, while a four-person sedan is also in development for a 2035 release.
Hyundai plans to invest $85 billion over the next decade, including $27.8 billion towards EVs, to accelerate its transition to electric cars and raise its annual EV sales goal to two million by 2030. Acer has announced the ebii e-bike, designed for cities with AI features that learn riders' preferences and change gears depending on road conditions. It weighs about 35 pounds, has a maximum assist speed of 20 MPH, and can go just under 70 miles on one charge. The bike has collision detection sensors, lights in every direction, and airless tires to avoid a flat. Acer hasn't specified the price or release date yet.
