FTX Founder Sam Bankman-Fried Pleads Not Guilty to Bribery Charges

Sam Bankman-Fried, former CEO of FTX, has pleaded not guilty to five additional charges, including allegations of bribery of a Chinese government official, added since his December 2022 arraignment. Bankman-Fried's legal team argued that he did not acknowledge the court's authority to bring the charges against him. Other charges include conspiracy counts related to fraud, wire fraud, and securities fraud during his time at FTX. Bankman-Fried has been free on bail since December and is currently confined to his parents' California home.
