
Meta Plans Massive Data Centers and AI Investments Amid Global Tech Race
Meta is building several massive data centers, including a nearly Manhattan-sized facility in Louisiana, to support its AI ambitions, with the first expected to be operational in 2026. The company is investing heavily, up to $72 billion, in infrastructure and talent to develop artificial general intelligence, aiming to create superclusters capable of handling multiple gigawatts of power, positioning Meta as a leader in AI infrastructure.
