Mark Vins, a popular YouTuber, intentionally stung himself with a stonefish, the world's most venomous fish, in order to generate views. Stonefish have 13 venomous spines on their back that can cause intense pain, swelling, tissue necrosis, and even death. Vins filmed himself searching for a wild stonefish, extracting venom, and then stinging himself. He experienced extreme pain, even after applying hot water, and continues to experience numbness in his hand and fingers a month later.
