Suspect in custody after fatal shooting at Hard Rock Lake Tahoe.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim of the Hard Rock shooting and has a suspect in custody. The department was called to the hotel on a report of an active shooter and guests were told to shelter in place until law enforcement could finish sweeping the building. A white Toyota 4-Runner with two occupants was pulled over on US50 west of Sierra-at-Tahoe, which is believed to contain the suspect. SWAT units from Carson are inbound and SR338 to Stateline remains closed.

Fatal Shooting at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in South Lake Tahoe Area

One man has died and two suspects have been arrested after an incident that was initially responded to as an active shooter situation at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Stateline, Nevada near South Lake Tahoe. The incident prompted a portion of Highway 50 to be shut down and a shelter in place order to be issued for the hotel. The suspects were stopped and arrested in El Dorado County in California.
