They found that images with warm colors, repetition, and feature complexity generated the most likes and comments. However, the more calorie-dense a food image was, the more likely it was to get engagement. To promote healthy foods online, the researchers suggest using warmer colors, repetitive features, and showcasing foods on a clean background to make them more visually appealing.
