A snowy pileup involving several vehicles, including a jack-knifed semitrailer, shut down a portion of Interstate 70 in eastern Missouri as a winter storm moved through the area, causing visibility to drop to a half mile. The westbound section of the road was expected to remain closed for at least two hours, with no immediate word on injuries.
