Chilling Halloween: Snow, Cold, and Flurries Await Across the U.S.

Parts of the Midwest and Great Lakes region are expected to experience snow showers on Halloween, with around 1 inch of accumulation in Chicago. Freeze warnings are in effect for millions of people from southeastern Arizona to parts of New York state, with temperatures dropping as low as 28 degrees in Atlanta. The Northeast and mid-Atlantic will also see a significant drop in temperatures, with Washington, D.C., and Raleigh, North Carolina, experiencing a 20-degree Fahrenheit decrease in just 24 hours. Additionally, the National Hurricane Center is monitoring two disturbances in the Caribbean and Atlantic for possible development.
